Another USA myth exposed.

I  am not really sure what you are talking about there.
How long is the average commute in the USA?
And how could you do it twice a day? Lunch break?
You would need a fecking long lunch break to be able to commute
home in that time *and* eat.
It is not the cost it is the time that restricts commuting.
I mean why should a USA be longer than a UK one?
Because it is a bigger country?
I doubt many are commuting from NY to LA everyday somehow?
There would be no hours left in the day.

According to the above figures  the commutes in  time are.

USA 24.3 minutes

UK 45 minutes.

OK our traffic jams may be worse than yours (but that is very debatable), 
but anyhow you use a hell of a lot of fuel in a traffic jam.

I am afraid it is just one of those American myths, like the one which
says us Brits have bad teeth.
Statistics show Brits have better teeth than Americans.
(less fillings anyway).
And remember our dental service is free. (most people don't have to pay, 
that is if you can find a NHS (free) dentist. Which you can usually.

I guess you will have to stop driving around  in tanks thouogh.
