Hello All,
Just a quick car trouble rant. Last Thursday my 2000 Dodge Stratus
(Silver-for those who care) decides not to start as I leave work. I call
the GF as she is getting ready for our softball game that I was supposed
to meet her at because it started at 6:15 and I live about 40 minutes from
work, so I was already cutting it short. She has to drive to get me, I
have to dress in the backseat as we are driving and we run to the field
just before the first pitch with no time to stretch, warm up etc. Of
course I **** my left leg up trying to turn a double into a triple,
thinking better of it I try to go back to second only to get caught in a
pickle situation and proceed to slide into second thereby ****ing my leg
up. (I was safe BTW)
Anyway I got rid of my AAA insurance with the towing and have Allstate and
didn't pay for the towing package so I have to pay 95.00 to have the car
towed to my brothers. That is where the car still sits because my brother
fancies himself a shade tree mechanic and I have 'some' skill. We rule
out a bunch of crap and have finally narrowed it down to a fuel pump. We
changed the filter, checked all the fuses, made sure the timing belt
didn't snap etc. It took this long because I still need to work, my
brother still needs to work and I had a way back and forth to work thanks
to the GF letting me use her car.
So here we are Monday of the next week and I am going to get the fuel pump
and head to my brothers to change it out. My leg is STILL ****ed up, I
FINALLY got my economic stimulus check in the mail (thanks for that
PeePee-even though you waited SOOOOO long to call your boys at the IRS),
we lost that game on Thursday and lost again this past Thursday and now I
am driving my brothers 2nd car around because I was sick of getting up at
6:00am to drive my GF to work so I could use her car. I am out about
400.00 for the car.
At least the REDWINGS are about to play for the Stanley Cup, but I just
hope we have the damn fuel pump changed in time to watch the game.
GO WINGS! And **** my Dodge! (My dad retired from Chrysler and worked at
the Dodge Main Truck Plant so I CAN say **** MY Dodge!)
BOOM byae
John
