Not posted for a while now, thought I share this gem with the group. Who
said that passivity is bad poker, and that betting is better than
checking/calling? Does anyone seriously expect that this guy to stack off
on a stone cold bluff if I had showed any strength on the turn or river?
As for his play, why? Try to buy the pot by all means, but overbetting
like
that, risking 581 to win a 78 pot? I wanted him to bet so that I could
raise, but never in my wildest dreams did I expect to stack him, even if
he
had the Qs. I just love these ultra aggressive players. Long live ultra
aggression.
I think these guys forget that the idea is not to win pots, but to win
money. Sometimes being passive is a much better way of doing it.
