RGPs never ending angry people

I have been on RGP for many years and it still blows me away.

There are so many people filled with hate for others for no good reason. 
Time and time again someone shows up here and tries to start fights with
others for no reason other than their need to cause conflict.  I really
have no understanding what makes these people tick.  However it does show
why there is so much hate and war.  It is almost always caused by these
few that can’t stand living a peaceful life or feel joy for others good
fortune.

I have been attacked time and time again by people that hide behind a
screen name for no known reason other than perhaps a deep seated level of
jealousy of me.  These people I have found are not worth my energy to even
reply to.  I feel sorry for them.  It is pretty clear their live is not
going the way they hoped or perhaps they feel attacking someone behind a
screen name makes them somebody.

These sort of mindless attacks are exactly why so many good posters have
left RGP.  Five years ago RGP was still a great source of advice but
almost all of the good posters are gone now.

These people that attack others are in the same class of spammers, those
that add no value and do nothing but harm to a news group.  Nothing much
can be done about it except to place them in a kill filter.  But is sad to
know these angry people are out there and they add nothing at all to the
well being of mankind.
